Mares

Blessed are the broodmares, the most important ingredient for a successful breeding program.
I've always beleived the mare is 70% of the breeding equation.
A good mare is a must!

My Foxy

This 7 year old chocolate mare is a nice big gentle mare, with a big heart. Foxy is as gentle as they come, she has many miles on her, from the Oregon beach to the 10,000 feet Wallowa Mountains. The first time she ever saw the Ocean, she just loved it! She embraces new things with positive enthusiasm. She loves to go trail riding, and she will go over anything you ask of her. She is 15.2 hands, nice bone and good hoofs. Foxy is a daughter of Ramblin Rex.
Certified to breed with the RMHA.

Blondie

Maple's Blonde Espresso (Blondie)
What a fun and exciting young mare to ride. She has a wonderful smooth four-beat ambling gait and is certified to breed. Her dam is an own daughter of Maple Squirrel and out of a daughter of Yankee. Her sire is Kentucky Chief. The Comet bred a lot of Maple Squirrel mares and I see this as a great cross with The Comet.
Blondie is well gaited with lots of speed and style. Ideal conformation and the disposition that the Rockies are so famous for.

Charm

My Lucky Charm, another sweet Johnson Toby grand daughter. She is an absolute doll to handle and ride. She is a gaited machine with tremendous speed. She has carried me all over the wilderness and camp outs. She has traveled with me to New Mexico and Utah and back, and all this barefoot. Charm is an absolute Charm indeed. She is double registered please click here to see a copy of her papers. Charm produced a charming gorgeous buckskin filly with The Comet. Please click on foals by Charm to see Hart’s Mint Julip. Charm is 15.1 hands tall and clear eyed, Charm Is bred to Nuncio’s Ozark Wildfire for a 2008 foal.
Please contact us to reserve her next foal.

Sheila

Moon dance Prema Nina (Sheila). Sheila is a gaited machine! She is an absolute blast to ride, and is a full sister to The Comet. I’m very grateful to be able to own her, and half ownership of her full brother The Comet with Bonnie Hodge. Sheila is a fine example of a true Rocky Mountain mare in every way: gait, disposition, conformation, and bloodlines. She is double registered. Sheila is 14.2 hands, and clear eyed. She has had two gorgeous babies with Nuncio’s Ozark Wildfire. See our links page to find photos of Wildfire, and his get. Please go to foals produced by Sheila to see these beauties. Her foals have beauty, gait, great dispositions and quality conformation. Notice the terrain I’m riding this mare and she has barefoot rock crushing feet, “Look Ma no shoes”.
In foal to buckskin stallion for a 2010 foal. Please, contact us to reserve her foal!
